Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter of this competition is:

Activity Residential Camp Adventures  Ltd  (referred to herein as “ARC” or “Promoter”)

1.2 By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

 

2. Eligibility

2.1 The competition is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.

2.2 Employees, directors, agents, friends or immediate family members of the Promoter may not enter.

2.3 The ARC reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.

2.4 Proof of identity, age, and address may be required before a prize is awarded.

 

3. Competition Period

3.1 The competition opens at 12:00 PM on Tuesday 12th  May 2026.

3.2 The competition closes at 11:59 PM on Monday 18th May 2026.

3.3 Entries received after the closing date will not be entered.

 

4. How to Enter

Paid Online Entry

4.1 Entrants may purchase entries online through the Promoter’s website.

4.2 Each paid entry costs £10.

4.3 To participate in the competition, entrants must correctly answer a skill-based question or puzzle presented during the entry process.

4.4 Entries submitted with an incorrect answer will not be entered into the prize draw.

4.5 The competition is intended to be operated as a prize competition under applicable UK law.

4.6 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse or disqualify entries where it reasonably believes the spirit of the competition has been abused.

 

5. Free Postal Entry Route

5.1 Entrants may enter for free by sending a postcard / letter  via first or second class post containing:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • The correct answer to the competition question

5.2 Postal entries must be legible and received before the competition closing date.

5.3 Free postal entries will be entered into the draw with equal weighting to paid entries.

5.4 Bulk, automated, or incomplete entries will be disqualified.

 

6. Prize

6.1 The prize is:

A May Half Term 2026 Holiday for up to four (4) people (ages 7 and over) with a total prize value of up to £1,800.

6.2 The holiday package for Monday 22nd of May until Friday 29th of May includes:

  • Dorm style accommodation for 4 nights in ARC’s bunkhouse
  • At least 10 activities with Qualified Instructors 
  • All PPE
  • Internal transport to activities throughout the week

as determined by the Promoter.

6.3 Holiday dates are fixed to UK May Half Term 2026 (22nd-29th)  holiday period unless otherwise agreed by the Promoter.

6.4 The prize winner and guests must make their way to their Tyr Abad Residential Centre. Help with pick up from nearby train stations can be arranged with prior warning but train tickets are not included in the prize.

6.5 Travel insurance, spending money, travel meals, visas, and personal expenses are not included unless expressly stated.

6.6 The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered except at the Promoter’s discretion.

6.7 If the advertised holiday becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

 

7. Winner Selection

7.1 All valid entries will be entered into a random draw conducted within 2 days of the competition closing date.

7.2 The draw may be conducted using independently verified software or live draw procedures.

7.3 The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided.

7.4 If the winner cannot be contacted within 2 days, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.

 

8. Publicity

8.1 By entering the competition, entrants agree that the ARC  may use their first name, town/city, photograph, and likeness for promotional purposes if they win.

8.2 The winner may request reduced publicity where legally permitted.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for:

  • lost, delayed, or damaged entries,
  • technical failures,
  • website interruptions,
  • or events outside its reasonable control.

9.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

10. Data Protection

10.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK data protection law and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

10.2 Entrant data will only be used for administration of the competition unless consent for marketing is provided separately.

 

11. Disqualification

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants who:

  • breach these Terms,
  • use automated systems,
  • provide false information,
  • or act fraudulently.

 

12. General

12.1 ARC reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.

12.2 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12.3 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
